OKKY KNOBS

Is anyone making knobs for the Busa? I'd like to consider some that use the engine mounts and for which "holes" have to be cut in the side covers!

Bear.

I got quite a few.. will sell at cost price + postage

For engine mount sliders, you need to cut a hole on both fairings. New Page 1RegardGrantKing of Stealth Blingwww.blingpartsaustralia.com.au

I bought a set of the ones that go onto the fairing bolts. Waste of time in my opinion! I want some that use the engine mounts, and stick out 50mm at least.
Email me with details. After Wannaroooooo I'm a convert!

seems to have become a bit of a speciality with me. I love it, it fits great, lasts well, looks orsm, is relatively easy to work with and if I can save just one of us from a dick in a cage, I'll be over the moon. I'm glad you like it Matt, I have plans on doing yours in that stuff. Unless you tell me to piss off. I am going to work solid on yours next week. It is a tough challenge but I'm up for it. I have done the papers and have booked a prelim fit for mid next week. After that, the real art gets cracking and I have a few things floating around. I have been studying books for weeks. (I took a pack of mags to the field and hardly any food, lol).

I'm already there. Don't be afraid to tell me where to go when it gets out of control. If you like, I will get the job done and since I will be in Vic from early January, I'll fit it for you. I'm still nutting the process of getting it on perfect. I stress over most things but I'm sure it will be the best I've ever done.

cheers mate, i'll email you with a few things in a minute, but as I said, go nuts. I've seen plenty of your work (not to mention having a set of decals myself) and I know that I'll be happy with it

I think that was one of the best things with the set I got from Glen - I had pictures of what they were going to look like - but when they were on - looked totally diff to the pictures till you saw it from a set angle looked way better and when the light hits it - OMG!

more stuff to come from Mr Glen for me as well - but shhhh

anyway - back to knobs (Massive thanks to you again maggot)
I pray I never have to find out if they work or not - but the way they are fitted with the cuts in the plastic - They will save the paint work, plastic & stickers from atleast a static drop and I reckon they look good - because you can get them in all different colours - I dont see a reason why you shouldn't have them - good savers I reckon.

Just to add - I also saw a part in MCNEWs where they talked about oggy knobs & if they were worth it - in the end they are & showed pics of an R1 that went down @ 80 with them & how it saved it. but also - IAG (Parent company to NRMA, RACV & CGU) did some test quotes on a 999 on a static drop & a drop @ 80 kph with out knobs. The fixing price worked out the same because the same parts had to be replaced they proved with the knobs it saved major plastic work & saved $$$ - they are also pushing for standards in strength of plastics & lowering fixing costs on static drops as well - meaning soon having knobs will be a saver on insurance "Busa riders always count in three's.... 100, 200, 300"
