Glenn took my Gen 1 (03) to the track (drags).
Just as i ride it for track days (stock height and stock lenght )
and did a 9.65 @ 149.63 MPH.

 Yes mate i had a good engine biulder, just cant think of his name ,,,at the moment.
have done airbox similar to Gen 2. the engine would make approx the same HP as a piped Gen 2.

yeh need to add some front end weight to go a little faster.
HP around the same as a piped gen 2

Also it is still a stock bore 1299cc

Don't put too much faith in those magazine figures, it really depends on the rider.
I have a Rapid mag from 06, when in the US they unboxed a brand new busa, ran it in on the dyno, and first pass was a 9.7 from memory OUT OF THE BOX!!!! not many can do that!
It was called "from crates to 8's" I think I also saw it on the net somewhere.
Thats an awesome time Kawasuki, especially conidering it handles too!
