Custom Seats
#1
Apparently, TOBIN seats and such like, lower the Hayabusa seating height by an inch or so. They are supposed to be more comfortable, they also look very flash with custom logo and so on. This would be ideal for me and I'd like to know if anyone locally can or have done this (in Brisbane). Having to send away my oem seat for this modifications is a pain, but I will consider it if there is no other choice.

Try bigkev from VCM Cycle Seats. He does great work and I hear he may have started doing gel inserts which would help when cutting the seat down in height.

I've got a Tobin style front seat. I don't like it, & will be getting a new one made by Big Kev as soon as I can find another front seat. (I want to keep the Tobin & also my original front)
Had the rear done as well. THe other half loves hers, more comfortable than the originl.

If I was after any kind of seat for the Busa at all, I'd be talking to Big Kev.
There are just too many members on here that have used Kev's services,
and have had great results from his work.

Again, I'd use Big Kev.

I have had my seat cut down & just had the original covering put back on. Made it more comfortable for riding as well as allowing me more contact with the ground (height challenged hey Heidi Pi_tongue) I did this 2 years ago now, before I knew of Kev.

I may get a custom cover done when I next feel like a change, but Big Kev just made me a softie. Unfortunately the cyclone meant I didn't get my parcel on time, so I couldn't use it on my recent little ride. But it feels soo nice.

I can happily say, even with the seat cut down for comfort, it worked for me. Can't say it would be everyones cup of tea. If you get the chance to sit on one, do it. It's just one of those things.

I have Torbin seats on my turbo.

I had Big Kev make me a set of seats for the 1441 out of leather matching the Torbins, these cost a fraction of the price of the vynal Torbins and are much more comfortable. Did a 4000klm trip to Tassie with them and gotta say was totally comfortable. Seats have been cut down to virtually no padding as at 6'-5" I needed it lower Pi_tongue

Both my husband (1hotbusa) and I can vouch for the excellent work that Big Kev does. He cut down and reshaped my seat and made the thickest fluffiest sheepskin seat covers for us too. Excellent service, great price....can't beat that! Well worth it even if you have to send your seat to him from Brisbane
