Hey everyone

I've just had four messages in about 20 minutes (PM, facebook and SMS) from members saying they are sick of redneck bullshit on the club and they are thinking of having a break. Things don't change unless you stand up. Walking away and taking a break doesn't change the culture, it just means you have walked away.

If you don't like something that is happening, call the person on their behaviour, or if you don't want to do it publically, send the admins a report. All reports are acted on, but unless you report it, nothing will get done.

If you don't like behaviour, try and change it but keep in mind the health of the club. What kind of club do you want?

One where anyone can say anything they want and be ridiculed by their peers if their comments are stupid or biased or bigoted, where there is freedom of sppech and most moderation is done by fellow members.

Eventually the foolish and stupid bury themselves.

Pretty much a club like we have right now, it is well managed and moderated, there is the occasional stupid post and those are hammered by the sane rational members.

Why change? if a post becomes too offensive it gets closed down, I have not seen one lately that was unfairly moderated.

If we ban all of the rednecks and bigots and all behave like angels then this place will become as boring as batshit. Variety is the spice of life why change anything at all.

I've seen some stuff in here I haven't exactly agreed with over the many years I've been a member (8 I think )....but it never crossed my mind to get on my high horse & start whining or shit canning this joker or that bloke over an opinion or belief relating to the many & varied subjects that surface from time to time in here.

The thing to do is suck it up, not lose a wink of sleep over it, move on & get on with life & living. Anything else is thin skinned over reactive bullshit.
