Need help from a gaming geek

ok girls and boys the time has come i want to play online with my ps3! and i have no idea about how it works so any general info would be good(yes i know you gotta plug it in and switch it on) what sorta internet do i need? does it use alot of download stuff? also what sorta speeds do i need for it?

what installation setup disk? i didnt get one:( i need one for life i think. and yes unit i am im getting very techy without knowing what the f*** it is im doing im rather impressed with myself! just today i created a new folder!! im excited

With the PS3 you can use your existing intenet account through your PC. You will need a wireless modem (only if the ps3 is too far away to run a network cable to the modem) and create a home network adding the ps3 to it. Lots of tutorials online about setting things up in windows and a "how to disk" will probably come with the modem anyway.
As for internet speed it's like a Busa. The quicker she goes the more fun you'll have. The download limits will vary depending on what and how much you are playing. I stick to the unlimited use plans as I normaly go nuts......there's way too much free porn out there.   I only just got the PS3 myself and it's not online so can't help too much with setup info. I've only got Grand Theft Auto anyway so I'm happy to steal, kill, shag and avoid the cops all on my lonesome.

Call Samar, currently he is on PS3 for alteast 6 to 8 hours a day......plays online all the time.

i'm going to get one as well Dan.... anyone know what to look for with these consoles?? they seem to be greatly varied in price with extra games etc.

Buy the one with 250 gig HD and keep your system in open space as the fan has been eleminated in new PS3's
