Help with iPod/iTunes

Need help, I'm going bonkers trying to work it out.
Can anyone tell me how to backload your music library from an iPod nano back to iTunes?

New computer, old ipod FULL of my music, new iPhone & I want to put my music on the puter therefore onto my iPhone.

Hopefully someone on here is more technimilogically capable than me.

Recommendation for future, always have a external hard drive which has the copy or backup files from your computer.

thanks Bill. I was really getting the shits but that helped immensley.
I was having dramas finding the "show hidden files" part cos I knew that was the main drama, the files not showing up but I FINALLY found it, stupid XP!

Lol, thanks cheeky, I worked it out. Vista is a pain in the arse (I was wondering why XP was being a pain in the arse, it's because it's vista not xp )
I worked it out, bit of frigging around but got there.
Now it won't let me transfer songs I bought on iTunes on my old account (forgot my password & the email address it was started on is now closed so had to create a new one) but for that reason it won't let me put them on my iPhone. GRRRR.
