Image Verification
#1
Admins,

I am not able to search the forum because I get an Incorrect Image Verification message.

I have attempted three times each on two different searches changing the capitlisation of letters ie when is an o or y or s etc lower or upper case as opposed to t or T, l or L etc.

Maybe this can be solved by providing an image refresh button ( I did not see one of these).

Understand the need to stop spamming (or whatever) but it still needs to be usable by members as it was I had to use google to find the thread i was looking for and no verification was needed.

It would be appreciated if this could be addressed

Cheers

i was thinking a php prob if it was a new addition, but it works for me.

Don't include spaces and it isn't case sensitive i have descovered testing it.

Had the same issue on another site --- MOST will give you another verification if you cant read the first / second ... its gets really hard when you have Q O I l 2 S as sometimes they also put the letters back to front so a 2 and an S are almost impossible to tell apart - think some Micro$oft sites actually have audio to go with it ...

i gave up on one particular website as i tried about 10 different combinations INc Caps and non caps ... and still was not successful

Hi Macbusa,

It reads "case insensitive" so it wont be case sensitive.

It was introduced when we were trying to stop bots bringing our CPU usage up so high.
We think we have found the issue now which was Google Yahoo bots etc and we have stopped this so maybe this can be disabled again to make life simple again.
