Brought this on monday, two owners , i'm the turd, it's completely bog stock but for the la parisian screen & Mick Hone mud flap. Bit of cancer in the old girl but it will scrub up ok. 93000 klms

Love that mudflap
- they were a weapon in their day.
108hp if my memory serves me correct. for the GSX11
I'll have to give you a race on my 105hp CBX

Hey Ward google " Dave's Motorcycle Page" theres a really good write up about the CBX1000 & the GSX1100. I'm sure you will enjoy the read. Makes me want to start shopping for a CBX.
Might have to have an "Island Classic" day

Bloody lovely looking old clunka mate. Well done. With one of those you can relive what foul handling bikes we used to ride back in the old days of the 70's and early '80s.

Well done.
I bought one last year too, bit of a chopped-about bitsa but I love it.
There's something very entertaining about clowning about on a
heavy, bad handling 30 year old bike that keeps me entertained.
autha , tony there is something special about riding these Ole war horses , its character it is something out new bikes lack . its a timeless feel when your zipping down the road and you pull up to fuel up and some 1 walks past and says "i rember owning 1 of these in my younger days" and you stop n chat and then off you go
i miss that with my ole katana

Yeah, not sure what it is.
On paper the Busa and B-King are WAAAAAAY better.
Cant argue about the brakes, handling, tyres, suspension etc.
But there's just something about the nasty 80's stuff that pushes the right button.
Perhaps thats why I like the original Bandit 12 ?
Cheap nasty budget bike with a GSXR11(sort-of) engine.
see tony thats where i get alot of my seat work mate re doing the old bikes im heading off in 2010 to pick up my st 750 kettle to restore
there a timeless bike no they didnt handle they didnt break but they have a great classic shape . the GSX motor has spore a generation of bikes with that GSX name i suppose im just branded suzuki every suzuki ive had an owned has been a mile eather and hasnt failed me yet

It was after seeing your gixer that started me looking. As i've said before i'm a budget shopper ,been looking & bidding on 'em for quite a while . Finally snared one. Get my sheds sorted this coming year & see what happens .Might just get the ol'girl up to it's best stock performance & work from there.Is there a good place to source parts ?

I get the odd part from various places.
Even the local main Suzuki dealer,
The drag-guy's seem pretty clued up on parts and often part out stock parts,

Same here Mate.
Was looking for age's untill i dropped on the ET, and have been
saving and looking since I got back from the "April Fools Run"
9 month's a go untill I found a Bandit 12 i could afford.
Had to work and save for 5 years in a rented house untill i could
buy one with a decent shed.

Nice pic's, was always a fan of the blue/black colour combo. Didn't mind the pearl & green colour scheme too. Spoke wheels are ace

Nice pic's, many memories! I scored two National Road Racing titles on a GSX1100 powered/ Motoplast framed beastie and many race wins. The engines are still competitive today with a little work. The EFE engines are the one to get.
Wardy, one for u mate, today, on the way home from Coff's I stopped off at the Taree Service Centre for fuel and a healthy top up of Macca's!! and bumped into a mate of mine who is a International trader of motorcycle classics and collectibles. He was doing a deal on a round case 750 GT Ducati and a 1978 Silver CBX with a genuine 8K on the clock, unrestored and just shipped from the States. Jeez, the things u see at Macca's , his Sydney connection often meets him at Taree!! I had a laugh at the back tyre on the CBX, it would do a current model 125 justice!!! Ahh, more bloody memories.
