I pulled a gen2 clutch down today and miked it up as i pulled the pack out.the gen 2 has longer clutch springs and spring posts and the fibres have square pads of fibre material compared to skinnier rectangle pads of fibre material on a gen 1.thats it,thats the only difference, the anti judder spring, the fibre thicknesses, the steel thicknesses, the order of the clutch pack all is exactly the same.So the next time suzuki doesnt have any gen2 clutch packs in stock, use your brains or enjoy the wait. And yes when a gen2 clutch gets hot it sucks just as much as a gen1 stock clutch does for drag starts if you choose to leave it standard.I put my clutch back to stock for my track day and the back torque limiter worked very well with my high compression motor,no wheel skip on fast downchanges whatsoever with not too much engine braking upsetting turn in speed.Horses for courses.
