Speedometer and revmeter not working on K8
#1
Yesterday when driving I suddenly noticed that my speedometer and rewmeter (and mileage counter) did not work.Scary
All the rest on the bike seams to work and I have tried to jug arround a bit in the wiring underneath but no success.
When putting on the ignition they go up and down as usual but are then completly dead.
My initial thought was a fuse but then the other instruments would have been affected to and they are not. I guess it is the transmitter from the engine/gearbox that is faulty or maybe a loss conection?
Have any of you some idea of what it can be?

I will as I wont take the bike appart tof ind the fault my self. Unfortunatly I do not really trust my dealer to do fault finding as they makes marks and most likely destroy something else....
Changing oil the first time they twisted my faring so it still dosen't fit to my satisfaction... and spray some detergent on the rubber at the engine block so it looks terrible. Bloody amatures..
Anyway they have to do 12000km service and if I am lucky the fault comes out on the PC to change the sensor... Will see and I will keep this thread up to date.

Been away for a while and found my followup answer missing.-)
Turned out to be the sensor that needed to be changed. Since then no problems at all. So far I have ran 36000km on it.
