Looking for a PC111 Map
#1
Hi guys,
While in the big Smoke Bruce showed me "Maps" as in for the PC111. I'm having a few fuel consumption problems following a few pops, crackles and sparks from my electric. The map in the PC111 was put in by the local Kwacka shop and is coming up as "incompatible" with the model" turns out it's probably not a Suzuki map at all.

I'm looking for a compatible map that has the following parameters.

. Hayabusa Gen 1 - (good start)
. full 4 into 1 yoshimura system (with a TRS can if possible)
. stage 1 yoshi cams
. after market air filter.

Spermbank sent me one from Ray's bike, but has high comp pistons so a bit out of my league. Thanks anyway Glenn.

Anyone out there in Hayabusa land help please?

Cheers

No two bikes are the same when tuning so your are best off getting a custom map. They might be close but not good enought as different countries have different fuels.

Thank God (all of them) for the Technical Support thingy.
I have a map from Ray and a Map from OhDear.
Turned the laptop on, connected to PC111R, grid lines map thingy (technical term) up,
selected auto port and have digital readout across the top of the gridlines map showing idle rpms etc.
Press "Load Map" select all files on desktop where I have saved both maps,
Select one or the other map and highlight it then go to "Load Map" get an error message telling me no map has been loaded.

What am I doing wrong Gurus? two good maps here. Possible suggestion - neither map is seen as dynoject map, that's why I have to select "all Files" in order to see them on the desktop?

Any ideas would be appreciated.

Max drop the maps into the correct file not just on the desktop.

That was the original map before the motor got rebuilt. It did have factory pro stacks in it though.Just use your 9 volt or start the bike with the laptop and usb cable and your pc3 map will come up,highlight from 3000-5000 from 2-10% throttle and use the page up or page down buttons to lower all those numbers by 5.Save it ,rename it, send map back to the bikeI,m guessin the bike was mapped without the pair blocked off so the exhaust gas was reading artificially lean at the tuners sniffer so he added fuel to correct it and hence it now uses alot of fuel.tighten all your header bolts up too, those header gaskets do crush down a bit.

If that still fails delete power commander software and reload it to computer.

The PC keeps telling me the version of the existing is incompatible. I think the only thing I'm going to be able to do is reset the PC111R to zero to try to overwrite the map the bike shop put in. The bike shop map is preventing anything going iun. I'm starting to think the shotgun may be the best reboot this sucker can get.

Seriously, I'll have a look to see how to reboot the PC111r and then try to get one of the maps in. Bruce had a brainwave last night - suggested that the reason the PC111 wont take the maps I'm throwing at it is because they have been built in a PC3USB model - they are not compatible. So I printed the Ray's map then loaded the zero map in the PC111r and built a map by putting in the factors on the printed sheet. Should go in aye! I still can't get past the shop map.

I'm going to have to read the instructions on how to cold start the PC111R and start from fresh.

Any other thoughts out there?

What do you think?

What do you think?

if you have the power commander software on your computer and the cable is plugged into the pc3r and the computer and the bike is running the map in the bike should come up or you could at least click on get map. Then copy dads map over the current map in the bike then click on send map when your done.I suspected the pc3r to pc3usb clash. What cable do you have to hook the computer to the pc3r?I,m guessing its not a usb cable.

Correct Glen its not the USB cable as Max's is the PCIIIR with only a serial port connection.

Just got a call from Max and the problem seems to be solved. Fingers crossed - be interesting to hear how she goes on the test run tomorrow.

Thanks Bruce. I'm just inputting Ray's map numbers into the 312.515 map and saved it as 312.516, which it did and the numbers stuck, unlike the previous attempt where the major numbers were replaced by factor 9s. I'll keep going with Ray's numbers and see if the thing will upload. Numbers are completely different to Ray's numbers. Will be i9nteresting to see if it will upload. Then a trial run in the morning. Wayyy too many Jack Daniels to be on the road - is there a possibility my styate at inebrity is playing with my nunbers and programing skills? Never happoen! Beer

Well, pissed or not, got Ray's map numbers saved as 312.516 and just uploaded them into the bike. Will take the old girl for a ride in the morning to see what the results are.

Many thanks to Bruce and Simmo for putting up with my mobile calls seeking info, much appreciated.

Just thought I'd throw an update you way.

Ruffy and Mrs Ruffy were up for the weekend, great to see them and great to have Johnny give us a hand with a few things on the Bling Machine.

I was having a few fueling probs so changed maps around, using a map Ray (The tall one) sent me down and a map Dynojet suggested (...515) sent me.
We put the big airbox mod box back in and used both Ray's and Dynojets - big loss in low down power - small increase in top end, mind you I never got over 200kph due to the time of day and wekend traffic, just low rpm roll-ons and a few high rev accelleration runs.

Did the same with the Dynojet map - we noticed the idle became rough as soon as we uploaded the map, I still took it out for a run - terrible, farting and missing all around the rev ranges.

Put the standard airbox back in, the missing was still noticeable but less rough, put Ray's map back in - awesome! Great bottom end, smooth lineal power delivery, no noticeable loss at the top - mind you I was having to be cautious about putting high rev range runs in due to traffic.

At the end of the day Ray's map, combined with the standard airbox, returned much better more useable power for my daily commutes and weekend thrashings.

Message ends.
