Tyres
#1
Has anyone priced new tyres recently. I was at my local quoting for Pilot Roads and they were telling me I could be up for between $600-$700. WtfThey recon there are issues with the manufacturer. Turns out there is a prob because of a "down turn in the economie"
I think this is Bull&^%$. We still ride, We still need tyres, again Wtf

I had to pay $350 fitted for a rear Pilot Power CT2 about a month ago.
My last pair of Bridgestone BT015s cost $600 fitted.

My last pair cost me $520 fitted. That was a week B4 MotoGp last year.

It shits me now they are using the excuse of the down turn in the economy.
Apparently I was told they are experiencing problems getting stock into Oz.
Result:- minimal stock - Higher prices. Go Figure!

I just bought a pair of Pilot Road 2's last week in Adelaide and everyone seemed to have them in stock. I paid $495 for the pair, fitted and balanced, ride in/out.

So far they feel pretty good but I've only done 300k's on them.Very Happy

Where in Adelaide did you get them? Hambeys or JMC maybe?

GC Cycles at Prospect. They had Michellins, Bridgestones and Dunlops to suit, but the Michis were the cheapest. I've bought tyres from them several times now and they have always given good service and treated my bike with care. I did get prices from other Dealers in the city and Northern suburbs the same day, but all were slightly dearer and/or couldn't do the fitting on the spot ( One city dealer needed 4-5 days notice!).

I just had my bike serviced at a Central Coast dealership ( better not mention names) and I know one of the Sales reps. They gave me a good deal on my service. Seems they want it back on tyres. Hmmmm Bastards........They will tell you anything.

Best me shop around and not get taken. Seems like a trip to Sydney.
