Anyone know how to do this on an 08/09?. I can't find any info on it.
I was sitting a traffic lights on a hill with the front brake on lightly. I could see that the light wasn't on by the reflection in the car behind me. I squeezed the brake lever a bit harder and on it came. I would prefer the light to come on a smidgen before the brakes after squeezing the lever.
Thanks

as far as i know it is a pressure switch which is not adjustable and will only bring on the brake light when the specified brake pressure is met.

The only way i could see you adjusting that would be to adjust the clicks on the lever, that way you'll be pulling it in further to apply the same amount of brake and bringing the light on.

After mucking around for a while I decided to grind a smidgen off the lever itself so it releases the the switch sooner. BTW these are cheap after market levers but they are black which I like.

Ah... the old aftermarket lever debacle..
Watch out for your clutch not working properly too!
OR, the bike cutting out because the sensor thinks that the clutch is not engaged when you try to start.
