hi all

the draggin jeans for all reports are the ants pants..heard of local bloke that hit a roo doing 130km/hr all the jean bits torn or worn away yet the kevlar still intact..

are modern jeans as in the bike ones getting up there with leathers???

now i have seen draggin bringing out roo hide jeans..

i have never worn full leathers.prob some occations i should have when trail biking.
well skin heals but scars are the story of your life un folding.

what are full leathers or even just pants like too ride in..i do have a leather jacket its oldish and heavy and makes neck ache like no ones buisness.its hot in summer and great in winter..
the new winter range of gear is light and warm as well..
hmm the debate...

i adore my draggin jeans beause they have several uses.i can ride then wear them out after....

whats your thoughts on gear people???Very HappyTrophyCoolsmiley

I like wearing leather but then again I'm a pervert ScaryLol2 I wear it just for the fun of it, even when its hot and sweaty hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm thats when I like it best. Plus if I wear just jeans or draggin jeans then either have to wear my boots on the outside of them which just looks all wrong or trainers which defeats the point a bit of protecting everything else cos you can see the tops of my boots stickin into the the jeans material from inside which again looks just wrong. So its leathers for me and I'll just put up with the sweat rashes and enjoy scratchin.

I wear draggons. The black heavy cotton type, or tailer made leather touring pants with satin liner. The ultimate turn on!! (for me anyway) But, also very comfy.
The new range of leather jackets are exxy but are lighter, and breathe with protection built in.
In all but the hottest weather, leather is good but black soaks up the heat.
I wear both the Draggons and Leathers out over the boots cause they are designed to be a snug fit over boots and don't flap around. In pubs, they look just like black jeans or slim fit leathers.

I wear full leather, back protector etc. for full day rides. Regardless of how hot it is. Also I usually have a camel-back on.

Just punting around town, usually standard jeans and leather jacket.
Sometimes shorts and tee shirt for going down the corner shop for ciggies. (No faster than 50 km/hr ).

I Always wear gloves, because I am paranoid about coming off gloveless and not being able to wipe my own arsehole.

I wear custom Mars touring leathers made in Melbourne that cost about the same as Pakistan made non custom Dianese. It's amazing what people will pay for a label, (often a very very large one).

If I'm going to work, out or commuting I wear my Draggin jeans or chinos. I always wear the leather jacket, Alpine Star boots & either summer or winter leather gloves. I once broke my ankle sliding out on a corner when I had full leathers & Blundstones on. If I'd have had my motorbike boots on I wouldn't have broken my ankle. I can't help but wonder what would happen to these blokes I see getting around in sneakers with their ankle poking out of the top. I reckon a ground away ankle would be a difficult & painful joint to replace/repair. Maybe a Suzuki Swift CV joint would be the go?

Apart from Oh Dear's tale I haven't heard anything bad about the Draggins. They certainly seem to wear as well, if not better than say, Levis. I remember when they were first getting them into the market they would drag a guy down part of the main straight at Phillip Is & he seemed to get up fine. Maybe he had 2 pair on or a very calloused arse?

You can't beat the scuff resistance of leather though. Jeans apparently last for ~.8sec whereas leather supposedly lasts for ~6sec. Kangaroo hide is even better apparently. I wanted mine made with it but he reckoned he couldn't get any hide? Go figure?

As for the guys in shorts etc etc, I refuse to even nod at them any more & if I pull up next to them at the lights I just look at their bare legs, (& perhaps even more unbelievable their bare hands!!!) & simply shake my head. They always get the idea I'm sure.

Call me old fashioned but, I'd sooner loose a little sweat than a lot of blood any day.

I have to agree with Cam on the guys who wear shorts but what really blows me away is the kids riding scooters with thongs on.
I am not sure exactly which states but some have a law that makes it illegal to drive a car barefoot yet you can ride a bike with thongs on.
I guess you can not outlaw stupidity.

Exactly....

I often think those that ride in boardies and no gloves - "they must of discovered how to regrow skin & bone" - But me thinks not and I am not prepared to chance it.
