Ok so last couple days my k9 has been having an issue with the gears being really sticky/hard to shift.
Also noticed at first start up when kicking into 1st the jolt given has been alot stronger then in the past..
This bike has only done 3500 km's now. Anyone experienced anything like this? perhaps shit oil the arse dealer used in its 1000km service?
The bike does get a bit of a work out but im sure its no more then most
also sorry if this has been covered, I couldnt find anything regarding it.

are you for real? noone has had this happen or any suggestions.
Only thing thats come to mind for me is MAYBE low resevoir on clutch, but wtf, 3500km's? and how the f*** do yah read the gauges? both my brakes and clutch look empty always

I'm loath to step in, but I found that there was a great difference depending on what kind of oil I used. (here we go), I use expensive fully synthetic oil and it works for me.

yes it has been covered before and i tried too say the same thing as you slade(got shot down).
i have probs with neutral to first.it does not matter weather its hot or cold or on slope or not.
i have done about 4000ks i,m still hoping it will get better.soon another service before i ride too bathurst busa bash.
just stick with it i guess slade seems they need running in time or maybe just maybe someone may actually believe us
I go to fully synthetic at the 1000kms service and I've never had a problem with any of my busas.

I would also check the clutch spring bolts for tightness..

My clutch bolts did work loose to the point where the clutch started to contact the inside of the engine cover. This was at 6000kms and was tightened up under warranty.
I have regularly found my K8 to be difficult to select first when stationary, but this seemes to be normal from waht I've read. Gear selection has gotten easier as the mileage has increased (just passed 8000kms), but the 'clunkiness' of selecting first has also worsened. I'm thinking it's probably just time to look at taking out some chain slack. FYI, I'm currently running mineral oil (Castrol GPS).
I'd be inclined to suggest giving your gears time to bed in before being too concerned. Just don't be too agressive with your selection of gears or you might bend a selector fork.

Heidi forgive me for disagreeing with you.
It is recommmended that you do at least 6000k (some say 10,000) before changing to a full synthetic. Apparently the engine beds in better with regular oil (seems full synth is just too slippery). This is the recommendation of an oil co chemist (who also make full synthetic). This does not mean that if you use synth earlier you will have problems - but you may have.

mines smooth as silk it first from neutral and any other gear for that matter. ive got 18000kms on mine now but has been smooth since i got it. just ride it harder and things will get better!! if your bike isnt run in after 50kms your not riding it hard enough!

I found the firmer i was with mine the smoother it got with time!!! after 8000k it was sweet but now i gotta start again as i wrote it off...just as it was getting good lol

Yep, I'm up for a fight.
Anyone using other than Motul 3100 Gold in their busa is wasting money. My bike has now got close to 23,000 ks on it and is as smooth as silk in running and gear changes.
Of course not every bike is built the same and some gearboxes are tighter than others and some clutches have worked loose.
Also Slade. You should be able to see a bubble in the sight gauge on your clutch and brake resevoirs. If you can't, you may have a problem.

there is room for definate fine tuning and i do not skimp on my hymie
maybe i have a monday busa..... the gear box made on a monday after a big weekend out
