Since long time I have been complaining about the clutch bark and how I was not happy that I cannot pull a wheelie due to this issue. All agreed that since mine is a 00 model - clutch bark was a standard issue on these bike when cold. But mine use to bark even when hot and there were no visible signs of clutch failure I.e. loss of power with high RPM etc.
Since last week - don't know what happened - the bark has stoped, the bike actually pulled its wheel of the ground yesterday :) and any minor signs of clutch issue disappeared - suddenly.

Now the problem is that the bike feels that it is having a loose clutch setting I.e. when engaging in gear the RPM drops and also if I try to start it in gear the bike tries to move forward as if the clutch is not fully disengaged.

Is it the signs of my clutch's life coming to an end?

Bike is still running fine, no problems with pickup or there is no issue of loss of power or high RPM - I am confused as hell.
any suggestions will help.

Check colour of oil, and maybe do a complete bleed of new stuff.

I did change the engine oil about 3 weeks back usual Ray's stuff Olien+ Miltec.

Should I also change the Clutch cyl Oil also as its dark in color?

It's the clutch oil I was referring to. I'd be flushing it through to get rid of the dirty colour then bleeding again.

your stack height is probably getting a bit low and not enough spring preload kicks the back torque limiter into acttion which can be quite violent.

I was talking to a fellow racer a week or so ago and he swears by the brocks clutch cushion kit for the earlier Busas. Says it made an enormous difference to the feel and behaviour of the clutch.

Its pretty good,ive had one for a couple of years now.It will shudder when cold if your plates arent perfect but definately a one stage clutch instead of a 2 stage,much better for launching.Pretty heavy lever,not for the office worker.
