Front wheel removal
#1
Tried to take the front wheel off tonight to get my civillian tyres put back on and couldn't! Scary I don't have a male socket to get the pin out. My question is what size is it ? By the look of it, it might be 23ml or 24ml. Does anyone no for sure?

For what its worth, possibly for others, a large nut and bolt from Bunnings may work, weld together first. Earlier model axle end fits later model I believe and you only need a socket set!

I thought of that but all the nuts and bolt places I tried didn't have the 24ml I wanted, hence the socket!!!!! Great idea though and considerably cheaper.

ON my 99 I use a crappy spark plug tube spanner works well make sure you use a ring spanner close to fork leg so tube spanner does not go out of shape thats my 2 cents worth.

i needed to remove my front wheel ( 06 forks) in a town when my valve separated and leaked.
i limped into a truck tyre repair place and found a big arse bolt that fits perfectly in the axle and 2 nuts wound onto it and locked them together.

i then used i think it was a shifter on the nuts to remove the axle,

i now carry my custom " suzuki special tool number 069" in the bike at all times!
