hi all.
new too ownership of a busa.
in fact actually bought it 3 weeks ago.i had a vrf 800 before and traded it in.
been riding since cockroaches where born and had various bikes.learnt too ride on a suzuki ts 100.
cacked myself laughing on weekend when i was dragging hubby and accidentially popped a wheelie.hubby thought i pooped myself but i was too busy laughing.
anyway i have been looking around the web for a nice bag set for my busa.. hard panniers look awkward and too boxy.i was thinking a set of throw overs? or a swag type set up ?
any ideas for me?

Welcome aboard cheeky!!

I am a newbie as well with only 12 days ownership of this brilliant Busa rocket. My first was a Yamaha DT100 bought at 15 with a $50 bag of 1 and 2 cent coins. Have a look at http://www.australian-hayabusa-club.com/...?tid=11090 for some discussion on this subject.

thankyou for all your warm welcomes and help.

i,m glad you lot are a bunch of cheeky buggers i think you have too have a sense of humour because life is way too short to be cranky.

my next project is my exhaust!!! but i have too wait because hubby wants a new exhaust for his gtr 1400.the only one i have found for him is staintune and it looks yuck.
so in mean time i,m taking my busa too exhaust shop and see if they can gut it out.(a friend insulted me the other day and told me the busa sounded like a sewing machine.i reckon he's upset because my bike eats his blackbird)....

I just use my ventura bags. Handle anything.

10+kg of books and a couple of lunches & still room.

Waiting on a tank cover, then I'll get a tank bag to match & I'm pretty set.

I was looking into a swag for the bike with hot pink canvas :-) Just right for a girl! (they had hot purple too)

Gear sack, Rear seat bag, thro-overs & a tank bag.

Works well.

Only issue was that the throw-overs sagged down & rested on the indicators & exhaust.
I put a 2" thick piece of foam rubber on the rear seat to raise it just a little & then I had stretchy straps over the top of the rear seat bag & hooked onto the front & rear of the throw-overs.

All up had close to 100kg spread over all the bags.
Brisbane to Melbourne without a hitch.

okies too answer some above questions..

firstly near wagga wagga but 2 hours north west.

bike is 'hymie' 09/08 therefore an 09 model and dead drop sexy black with a nice blue speck showing through paint work..and when i work out how too crop the picts off laptop because i,m too lazy too do them off normal puter i will put them up.

all new additons on hold till hubs spends some money on his quakker..(zx14 and his are same motor) so far bar risers

but exhaust guy said i can make mine sound nice.

as i type hubs 'the one who i must peel his grapes for' has taken muffler right off and taken off around the block.too be truthful my v4 vfr 800 sounded better..

yes i,m worried about throw over panniers and paint work.yet i dislike the look of the hard panniers because they sit out like dogs thingys

picky girl aint i Boobies4
