Hi There

Hiya,

My name is Stephen and Im 40yrs old and have just purchased my first ever new bike, Limited Edition Hayabusa. I pick it up in a couple of weeks.

After what I thought was "Living the dream" for the past 13yrs, it all came crashing down late last year. I have moved on and finally was able to purchase my belated 40th pressy. So just in time for Santa to deliver it.

Hopefully I will be able to get to meet members on the Forum on a "run" in the new year. Lookin foreward to get out there with other Busa's.

I am planning to head to Phillip Isl for the Super Bikes in 09. I have been to the last two GP"S on my Gixer. The last trip cemented my plans to upgarde. The Gixer is a 97 mod and has been a great bike for the last 4.5 yrs. I have racked up 44,000K's out of a toatal 82,000 on the Odomater.

I am no means a speed freek, but the Busa has always been a dream come true bike.

See you out there.

Thanks for the welcome,

Can't wait for the pick up date. But hay I will think of it as my 1st date.... "We met, I liked, Ive been introduced...THEN I WILL TAKE HER OUT. I WILL PROMISE TO BE NICE TO HER ON MY FIRST RIDE (DATE)".

Lookin foreward for a hook up with other members.

Let it heat up by throttle blips on the side stand then go out and get it heaps, you,ll bed the rings in really well in the first 20kms and it,ll make good horsepower after that. Then go home and drop the oil and filter and do the same with mineral oil again.Treat em mean keep em keen.Pi_thumbsup

Stephen,

yeah, 'the dream' is just that, a fallacy, a bag of lollies held up to keep us in line. Imagine if every male who 'woke up' one day had the balls to face up to reality and buy a Busa? A red Honda S2000 is more socially acceptable, you'd be a stereotype, people can laugh at ya. The Busa is a good choice mate. Just watch the tin tops. They're living the illusion and can't see you.

Finally took delivery of my Busa Yesterday.

What a great day, The weathwer was just right. I took the OLD ROAD North home and cut the tyres in beutifully.
She is locked up for now whilst I still have my two kids till Boxing Day. Then heading to Tamworth over night for the weekend with my mate who bought my Gixxer 750.
First time I have ever bought a new bike. WOW what a fealing. The smell, the feel, the unsureity, the adrenalin. Words cannot describe. Just loved it. I stopped at Pie in the sky and just still soacked in the fact that she is mine.
I will post photo's when I have worked out how to.
