Both my wife's & my mobiles have been disconnected because Telstra says the bill hasn't been paid. BULLSHIT it hasn't.

My wife has just recently moved to Brissy, she's living in our house there but hasn't got a fixed line connected yet. So the mob is the only communication she has ATM.

Been on the ph to Telstra today, "Sorry sir, that department is not open on Saturday, please call back on Monday" Clunk.

So we get stuffed around because of their stuff up.........

Cocksuckers..................

one bit of advice i had when filing a complaint

Ask you wish to complain.....

when they take all the details say, OK now tell me my complaint number/identification so I can follow up on it.
(well they never used to have anything - been a while since I cracked a tissy at them, but it worked)
They probably will say what??? sorry no we don't number/id complaints.....

So rant and rave about quality control and all non-conformances/complaints shall be identified by a system so that entrys can be followed from start to finish and be identifiable in a document control system, Telstra you do follow good work practices don't you? So if I was to phone back to follow up on my complaint, nobody could find it as it has no number, no ID, & your telling me it exists?.... I don't think so - that is not good enough!
Well rant and rave and go to town. Nothing will be good enough, and mention the ombudsman should welcome to hear this....

Anyway within not 10 mins I had a supervisor call me back (unrequested) and all problems solve. I have never, never ever again had a problem.

I used to work in Quality Assurance, so it was piss easy for me to rattle off about doc & data control and the apparent lack of it in their system.

The main reason I've stayed with Telstra is because of the good international roaming coverage for when I'm travelling.
But no more. I've had enough.

Yesterday arranged a fixed line in Brissy with another crowd.
This one in Melb will be disconnected in Dec when I move.
(Telstra said they couldn't do a ph connection on the weekend because it's a "Service" just like power & water & they don't work weekends either)

Have looked into other Mob plans & have found what I think is a good one.
I currently pay Telstra $80 / mth + call costs.
The new 1 I'm going to use is $60 / mth, no contract + UNLIMITED CALLS. (No additional call costs). Includes ALL AU fixed lines, AU mobiles, AU SMS & MMS.

Sounds good to me.

GOOD BYE TELSTRA !!!!!!

telstra is the only mob that my mo will work with out here in Oak Park.
We are sort of in a hole.

Unfortunately most big biz is the same.
Once they get to a certain size then you are just another number.
If you look at the size of the company...well.

Another Telstra cockup.
My son moved into a flat 4 months ago and had Telstra connect a phone line for him so that he could use the internet. This was his first ever contact with Telstra.
They connected the service and all was well until last Friday afternoon.
He was unable to connect to the dial up server and when he checked his phone the dial tone was there.
He attempted to call the ISP and got a message on his phone that only emergency calls were available.
He then called Telstra support who told him that he had been disconnected due to unpaid accounts.
It appears that they had been sending his bill to an address that he vacated over 2 years ago and even when he lived there he did not have a phone connected.
SO HOW THE FARCK DID THEY GET THAT OLD ADDRESS TO SEND HIS BILL TO?
They now demand $160 for overdue payments on an account that he has never received a bill for.

Get a copy of your/his credit record Busgo. Can't remember what it's called, but there's a record on everyone in the country.
It will have every address you've ever lived at under your own name.

I got a copy of mine few yrs back when I had a credit issue with a bank. It had the dates of entry & exit of every address I've ever lived in since leaving home.

So instead of sending his bill to the address where they connected the phone service, they dug out an old address from his Electoral enrollment form and decided that is where he should be.????

Shit, if my company ran its billing service like that, I don't think that we would ever receive a payment.
