Hey guys and girls got a friend looking to buy a working motor. any ideas as to a price of a second hand motor ?

What is the damage??If the cost is about the same as a used engine (2000 dollars+ ) then it is better to repair it as he will know that his motor is new..

There are a lot of used parts..

i can sell him one. its pretty expensive but comes with the rest of the bike so makes it a good deal mwhahahaha

He is looking for a gen 1, there is no damage, Just doing some costings for a project / small car !

Hay I actually found a few on Ebay last night...
Quit a few new Gen 2's,

But was a really good looking Gen1, the guy said it had done 11000mils and bike was a rite off....
engine looked perfect though...including gear box and everything...

his lowest price was $1900, and 500 shipping to perth....


I though it was a pretty good deal..

that is a good deal. let me know how you go with it and how he turns out as a seller if he has anymore and hes a good seller ill go for one at that price.

Try before you buy or check properly!!!!!!After advising an individual not to purchase an engine(ebay) from somone here in Qld the individual in question went ahead and bought it only to find out it had more hits than Abba,it was cracked once before by another member here who raced it a couple of times and sold it on the sly without tellingPi_freak.......No names need to be mentioned due to mental health issues this member has.

That should give you a good idea----Wtf
The advert said that the bloke wanted Full Payment 100days in advance.
