reckon weve all done it, when upside down the direction always gets confused. Last time when i did mine i used a hellicoil insert with larger plug, it sorta helped, but there was always weeping oil from the plug. so was only a matter of time till I had to chang the sump pan with new plug. in the end you will to, so just a question of when.

Tag im in townsville. Volvi i was more thinking about getting the thread redone with a larger bolt or is that what your talking about with this helicoil thingy bob? not up on threading and bolts etc. whats a new pan and bolt cost? if its to much i guess ill be going a billet one hahaha shit
Regards
Dan
Dan,
To the best of my knowledge all of the billet pans are flat bottomed and do not allow you to run your street exhaust. The stocker is scalloped to allow the pipe to go thru.
Helicoils are awsome and should not leak. Pull the pan and take it to a trusted mechanic, most have helicoil kits.
They drill your sump to the correct size tap it and wind in the helicoil thread, you can then use the stock sump plug.

I think this is something we could look in to in each state at least a 10% discount for busa members or if Steve wants to come to the party for say 15% Australia wide.I will make some calls in a couple of weeks when i am in brissy
