Dont think you need to ask Max Rod would want you & Brent to have a drink for him ![]() i think we should try and head out as a group but understand if people want to just cruise out by them self so the maccas at sprinvale rd sounds good point for meet i will post up new thread on time and route See T new thread Rocket Tuesday 28th Aug
I spoke with Sue, Rockets Mrs, she is going to get back to me on what time the funeral directors leave Lilydale. So we can follow the cars to the memorial park.
I suggest everybody be at Maccas Lilydale by 10.30am. Those who are leaving from the city, could meet up at the Caltex servo on the corner of kingsway and bank street Sth Melbourne 9.30am.

may I clarify? if the service at the chapel in Lilydale is at 11;30am why are we due to leave maccas Lilydale around the corner from the chapel at 10;30am? from where to where is the procession meant to be?

I'm told it's only a short ride to the memorial park, only 2 or 3 kms. 10.30am is the time we are asked to be at the Lepines. Cheers Tez.

A total lunar eclipse will take place on August 28, 2007, the second of two eclipses to occur in 2007. The Moon is expected to enter the Earth's penumbra at 07:53:39 UTC. The first partial phase will begin in earnest at 08:51:16 UTC when the Moon enters the Earth's umbra.
The total phase is expected to begin at 09:52:22 UTC and end at 11:22:24 UTC--a length of 1 hour, 30 minutes, and 2 seconds. This is a typical duration for such an event. The umbral magnitude is expected to be 1.4760. The second partial phase is expected to begin at 11:22:24 UTC when the Moon starts to slip out of the Earth's umbra. The partial phase of the eclipse will end at 12:23:30 UTC, with the penumbral phase expected to terminate at 13:21:01 UTC.[1] Oceania will be favored for the eclipse, whence the Moon will be at its zenith over French Polynesia at the moment of greatest eclipse, 10:37:22 UTC. Alaska and the Pacific regions of the continental United States will also witness the whole event, along with most of eastern Australia, New Zealand and the tip of the Chukchi Peninsula that includes the town of Uelen, Russia. The majority of the Americas will enjoy an abbreviated eclipse, with moonset occurring at some time during the eclipse. Siberia, far eastern Russia, eastern South Asia, China, and the rest of eastern and southeastern Asia will miss out on the beginning of the eclipse, because the eclipse will occur at or close to moonrise in those regions. Greenland, Europe (including western Russia), Africa, western Asia, western Central Asia, and western South Asia are expected to miss the eclipse completely. It's a magic day !

It was something we wanted todo s both of us knew and respected the little bloke. Raz and I had some gratuitous handshaking and making up that certainly left me feeling the better for it, thanks Razz. I think we all had a few tears for our friend Rocketman, weren't the speakers just awesome, thanks Sue, Rod's sister, and Rich who said what our hearts were feeling. Rest in peace brother. You live in our hearts forever. Max ![]()

Yes Richard's tribute was very moving. You aptly laid out much of what we all would have liked to be said. Well done and thx Richard and everyone else making the arrangements. Rod would be awed by his sendoff and bike procession. He deserved it. RIP Rocket.
