R/C Planes / Helicopters

This is my favourite 3D freestyle video, its called "Sunday at the Lake" flown by a snotty nosed teenager called Alan Szabo and his chopper is a Thunder Tiger Raptor 90 available at your local hobby shop.

Be warned after after watching this, you will lose respect for your mates flying abilities.

Grant, There's a model plane club off the Gateway M/way. It's on the northbound side just before Wynham Rd. As you are taking the Wynham Rd exit look over to the left into the trees & you'll see the clearing they use for the runway & the clubhouse. I first went there when I was 13. I'm 42 now.....

HOLLY FARK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Scary

He is good!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Yes

I must be showing how little I know about aerodynamics, but, how the hell can he get a chopper to hover upside down?Wtf

I thought helicopters were able to fly by virtue of the downforce created by the rotos. Meaning, if you put one upside down, the down force created would slam it into the ground.

I'm amazed,

The blade angle called collective pitch is variable, usually about +10deg down to zero deg and then down to -10 deg. This allows the airblow to go both ways and can be used to hold the chopper up when it is inverted.
