R/C Planes / Helicopters

is anyone here into them, or have one?

I work with planes and choppers everyday and a mate of mine has a R/C helicopter.. it's awesome.. and he's pretty good at it too...

I am thinkin about buying a helicopter... anyone know something about it all??

always wanted to get one.
had big kites there for a while a few years back 2 string kind with a line so long it was unreal...lotsa fun.

man... some of those people need to learn to hold a automatic rifle properly...

yeah DJ, i use to be into kites years and years ago... theres just something about flying r/c toys that really makes me feel like a kid again.. and i like it..

well, i'm mainly interested in choppers... what should i look for when buying one...

tell me what a noob r/c buyer needs to know..

i couldn't load up link. but one of the main things you need to look for is the throttle to be on the right hand side of the controller. alot of the china and cheap us stuff have it on the left. the reason for this is if you decide that you like it and you want to upgrade to a larger nitro powered chopper, they run them on the right and you will have to re-learn the controls.

also their is a programe you can buy that comes with a cable that allows you to plug the r\c controller to the pc and practice. it's a simulater.

not sure of any one on the net. there is a guy that i buy all my stuff off. i'll find out if he has a website and get back to you. his bussiness is set up from home, but he has only premium products.

i just fond a website to my local rc heli / plane club... will go and say hi to them...
