Track was not the best but we perservered and ended up with some pretty good results anyway!
Congrates to Guido, ran a couple of P.B.'s finished off with 10.61 ?
Glen also on the ball with 60' pb's and numerous 10.0 run's, including my scalp on the first couple of runs!
I did ok for the first time in a while on a short bike. 60' 's weren't what I wanted, will be doing a couple changes, ie rear shock area and try again next week!

Onya Guido, sounds like there might have been a little improvement in grip. Hopefully the same will happen next Wednesday night!

Nem Leonards other bike is probably running at ~68-70", std is 57"
changing back would be a bit of a culture shock...
Actually the biggest problem i have swapping bikes is the clutch, more than once i have thrown away the std clutch forgetting it wasn't the lockup.

Hey Leonard also found out that pushing the horn button to change gears doesn't work if you dont have an air shifter on the bike. Hehehehe.

Maj, Bike is 66-67" gave up on trying to get it to stick any longer at WSID, your right about throwing the clutch, and the bloody horn button...about 3 pushes before the penny dropped. (thats why Glen got me!!!).
If your still keen to "Crew" for the fuel bike your more than welcome to come and get your hands dirty.
Pan, I knew you would be disappointed in my results...I let you down buddy!

Thank you boys for the kind words.
Special thanks to Leonard for the encouragement and those 4 20mm rods.
Simmo still ran 16-40 and the track was a bit stickier than normal.
See you there next week.
Ps: Still along way to go.

How come it's raining cats and dogs over there, yet you still run drags?
Hardly rains at all here year around, except of course every Wed night...

Rain washes oil, coolant and small bits and pieces that fall off cars, away from the tack. I mean it might even be hazardous if it weren't wet.
Seriously, they do cancel if it rains sufficiently for the track to get a soaking and it looks likely to stay that way.

Hey legend,i saw on something on your previous post about zx14's,that only
ones doing decent numbers.
How fast is it going an if anything, whats done to it?
In the states there a sure thing,an they move...
Check out bikeland.com.
I was going to get one,but a cocksucker of a kawasaki dealer sealed the
deal of me getting a busa, and no regrets, only that i bought an 07 an just
maybe i should of waited till 08 lol.

Ask Simmo he has run him several times. From what I remember, he is slammed and slip on pipes only and something about Busa clutch plates in there as well after his fried real quick.

Nemesis,
Dont be mistaken the zx14 is a seriously fast bike stock or otherwise, I was impling about how many newbie's turn up at the drag's with the lastest and greatest (some even go so far as to enlighten us on how fast their bikes are) only to get whipped by an old model busa in the hands of a "streetmeet regular" then never to return.
Some are worried about the new 08 having more hp and maybe getting beaten at the drags, only way this will happen if one of the regulars gets an 08.
The rider has more to do with results than the bike, when all the other things are close to equal.
Leonard.
