We have just returned from the third SEMDRA race of the season in Jackson, SC. Lots of bikes, good (read HOT) weather, and few slow downs made this another great event. Getting to the last 3 in Pro ET helped a little too! Next we are off to the AMA Prostar Cyclefest in Columbus, OH. on July 7th & 8th. Scott Valletti of AMA Prostar has been working overtime on this one. It should be a great race. Please come by manufacturers row and say hi. We would love to meet you. Hayabusa Big Bore 1397cc Cylinder/Piston Kit

This month we are featuring our new Hayabusa 1397 kit with a finished block and JE pistons. Our blocks are bored and replated by Millennium Technologies and feature JE 84mm pistons with 12.8:1 compression. All kits come with XC series rings, wrist pins, Cometic head, and base gaskets. The Hayabusa Big Bore 1397cc Cylinder/Piston Kit requires a stock cylinder in good condition. We can ship without a customer core, but a core charge of $700 will be assessed. These Cylinder/Piston Kits P/N 1-0432 normally sell for $1000. This month only we will sell them at only $899.00.

M P S Nitrous Solenoids

MPS has two nitrous solenoids in stock. The standard MPS Nitrous Solenoid, P/N 1-0389 features a .063” orifice good for up to 100 horsepower and our 400 Plus HP solenoid, P/N 1-0401 that has a giant .125" orifice The plungers for both solenoids plungers use Teflon seal material for long life with no seal deterioration or swelling. The MPS Fuel Solenoids, P/N 1-0390 feature a .125” orifice and fuel resistant FKM plunger seal material. Watch for these solenoids showing up on more and more top bikes! M P S Tether Kill Switch

I have a dealer account with MPE. They have great stuff but it is hard to shift here because you have to pay for the top shelf quality. I have tested some of their gear well past spec and it has out-performed my expectations, well and truely. A big bore kit like that one is great value for the US. it gets less so once it goes to Mr post.

Exchange rate has been at an all time high recently(in our favour) but the US guys kill off business with their freight charges. Perhaps you could ask for a surface freight option and save a shitload.

Wouldn't be worried too much about the '08 (except for brag factor), How many zx14's have been sold in NSW? How many actually race and run half decent numbers? Heaps sold, only 1 runs no's.

Glenn, from what I can read from the new model specs, bore is the same, crank pin is 1mm further out ie total stroke is up by 2mm! Now I know that your'e going to like that with the effect that it will have on torque and still leave the meat between the cylinders. Another option possible for your existing bike is Falicon stroker crank but not cheap. We need to gather around the coffee table on Wed night and discuss.

I,d be interested in the 1398 with a little help on assembly.I reckon dad could be talked into it as well.As long as its streetable and not overheat and kill starter motors.

My original thoughts were for a 1363 to maintain bore to bore thickness.What would be cheaper and what would be more reliable.A stroker with new pistons and more compression or a mild overbore with more compression.From what i,ve seen the overbore routes pistons are heavier than stock negating the potential revability.It will be interesting to see the power curve of the new busa with longer stroke and more compression.More busa bottom end methinks.

The consensus on the US sites is that the stroker taxes the bottom end too much. The mean piston speed is increased with a stroker.
Dont know how suzuki have dealt with that on the new motor.

1397 is by far the most widely accepted and cost effective, if setup correctly is very relaible. Terry McClure over here recorded a very reliable 215hp at the back wheel on Wayne Patterson's dyno using 1397/cams and mild head work. This motor ran several seasons with little or no problems pulling consistent 9.2-4's on stock wheelbase. Mind you he can surely ride and does consistant 1.4 to 1.5 60'-0.

thanks bruce.a bigger bore doesn,t increase piston speed if rpm is kept the same so as long as it doesn,t overheat and can be started. Its good to hear some aussie feedback on the 1397 or similar on our fuel in our conditions.Perhaps 24 volt starting with a battery in the nose with an extra gixxer fan would suffice?You must be itching for a run.Theres always a veypor and a straight road(no i don,t sell them)
