I remember reading somewhere ages ago that the Metal Storm concept of inductively fired charges was an Australian invention that couldn't get local funding/investment, so they took it to the US......
Gee... that sounds familiar.
Then again, we did invent the Owen gun...... and that was far superior for it's intended purpose than anything else.
