Giannelli cans - any good?

Hey,

Got the chance to pick up some Giannelli cans, and thought I would ask the question - if anyone has an opinion on them. Can't seem to find any comments after doing a search.

A couple of guys have either got them or had them.
They look and sound good and like any can, the fueling can be set to match their air flow.

'+1 Busgo.
Driller ran a set and was very happy with them until he binned it on an oil slick comming to Jindy.

Tops and thanks - bought em, so I'd better wait until the next service to put them on, let you know what I think

You don't have to wait mate. Stick em on anyway and then you will notice the improvement once the fueling is reset.
You may need to scavenge the copper gaskets that fit between the midpipes and cans out of your OEM cans or buy a new pair for about $7 from Mr Suzuki when fitting the new ones.

Undecided aha, fuelling reset, of course - what is fuelling reset? Is that like the speedo reset - I've looked and I've looked, but I can't find a button on the pipes anywhere Undecided

Seriously though - what is it, can I do it, or do I have to take it to a dealer?

nah dude - Fuel remapping for your fuel injection to suit the pipes :) have to do them with my Microns when I get it back as well :)

So dealer could.... but I'd find someone who is good with Dyno's & get them to remap it & dyno run at the same time :) then you can see how much power your beasty is doing as well :)

I don't know if we have a lot of choice re dyno tuners here in Cairns, so might be best to go to Suzuki - I know the chief mechanic and he seems like he's got it all under control. Thanks again - looking forward to having them fitted - never had a set of after market pipes on a bike before - vrooooooom.

If he has access to a YOSHI box, he can do it without a dyno.

:) no problemo mate - I never had cans on a bike till I got the busa as well - threw on a set of D&D cans :) makes a massive diff in sound - when you hear your baby you will be like "AH! there is its voice - its balls have dropped!!"

mate jsut throw em on and ride around its jsut the cans there isnt a huge difference with them apart from the noise. RE dyno burdekin bikes does a good job if your ever down ayr way. not to expensive i dont think either. they have done FBR's 1397, marks piped bus and shauns piped bus all with good results.
