If he's on L plates... Duh....he doesn't have a licence yet... duh

yeah thecnicality but what difference is there between an L plater on a bike and a P plater? same restrictions, they can ride the same bikes only the litle yellow plate changes. the point rockets making is just because someones on their L's doesnt mean they havent been riding very long or are inexperienced on a bike. I personally raced for several years before I got my L's and my mate danny used to race in the 250gp many years ago and he still doesn't have a road licence.
so the bloke did it and got caught, big fuken deal bracksys police state doing what its does best.
Im bailing on this whole thing before it turns into yet another pointless bitching session. Aza, well said mate.

What are speed limits good for anyway. I went to court as a witness for an accident that I was in.. In short, car turns in front of me.. I try to avoid and have head on with pole.. Guy not pay insurance excess, insurance take him to court.. in the court summary the judge said although I was doing only 70kmph in an 80kmph zone, I was a contributor because if I was going slower the accident may have been avoided.. lol.. so since then i just figured speed limits were just advisory...

lol :) I dont think any of us can really talk - the video I made testing out the camera mount on the tank was an eye opener - was coming in to corners slowing down from 140 & taking them @ like 80 for some when they were posted @ 40. too busy watchin the road to care what the speed was - it felt safe.

nice work Rocket.. I will give it a shot on the weekend and see if I can beat your record.... If I do and you dont see any posts from me for a while.. check the papers for my picture.

Will I need an airbox mod to reach that speed though ?

(aiming for 100 posts on this thread.....)

Dickhead. I'll stand on the side of the "time and place" debating team.

Yep. All of us have been "young" and done stupid things too.

That in turn means that we too have been "dickheads"

Being a dickhead on the backroad between Little River and Bucchus Marsh where the only casualty will be yourself, the fences or some hapless wildlife is one thing.
Doing it in a built up suburban area is another.
Of interest is the fact that it would seem that most of the articles we read about "hoon" riders are the ones where they're doing it in suburban streets.
Would it go to show that the media interest in this is because it can truly be seen as a "public safety" issue?
Going 200+ on a long straight stretch of country road doesn't present the danger to others that doing it in a suburban street does.

just the .02c of a dickhead (in a previous life of courseLol3)
