We had some excitement up our way as well.
A guy with pillion was caught doing 180 in an 80 zone and the cops chased him down till he crashed into some grass. Both uninjured.

Police said the 24-year-old male rider driver had already been disqualified from driving until 2015.

He was charged with numerous offences, including using an unregistered and uninsured machine, riding while disqualified and resisting an officer in the execution of his duty.

I think goooone is the word that springs to mind - although, one could argue he already should have been... disqualified until 2015!!!

"Resisting an officer" - usually probably futile, one would think....

200kmh in an 80 zone drunk - nope, never done that

140 in an 80 zone and then run the cops - nope, never done that either

speed at times, yep - but when I'm in control of my bike, my mind and am happy with whatever the repercussions might be (beit fine or something else), and never where someone else might be put in danger - like in an 80 zone going through an intersection.

everyone makes mistakes.
seriously it annoys the shit out of me when I see speeding in built up areas.
You see it all the time on coffee nights.
Idiots flying down the road in the dark with people and kids and dogs everywhere...thats when u ARE looking for trouble. And when it happens you only have yourself to blame. But most of us are older and wiser now....I did a LOT of stupid things too on L's and I reckon we can all prob remember same...

The fact is that like Rocket says these speeds can be done in a few seconds so u only have to let the ego get control for a sec and whammo...you're out of your comfort zone and looking for trouble....and sometimes it finds u...cops or crash.
