have you answered the other poll we want numbers on Qld members traveling to north nsw but if only a dozen come down to north Nsw then whats the point so if you can get 30 + members from Qld to Nsw then it would be worth concidering

I wouldn't mind a ride to Perth either but any ideas of a cannonball run could be quickly dismissed I think.

I did the trip in a car once and that was dangerous enough - dead roos scattered on the road every 100 metres.

I really would be surprised if we got 15 to 20 bikes from Qld
I've done the oxley area a few times on weekend trips etc
maybe the idea of somewhere in the middle isnt to bad .

The idea of dubbo might not be bad BUT what are the surrounding

If your going to dubbo i,d be fitting a 38tooth and a radar detector.From nyngan to cobar i think theres 3 corners in 100km.I think to byrock theres no corners in 100km+.Straight but a bit bumpy means boring unless you,ve got gun scabbards fitted mad max style.

Mel to Sydney (city) is 1200km = 10 ~ 11hours with out stopping apart from fuel = 1 day.

Then another 5 ~ 6 hours up to the Oxley...

thats 2 days just for Vic people to get there!

I just punched it into whereis.com and it says 882km

Besides, my wife and I drove to Melbourne in my Subaru last year in under 9 hours with a 2 year old in the car and at least 3 stops (one was for an hour and the other two were just for fuel). Oh, and on the way back I took this just before we left Melbourne...

Dump Dubbo! Went there for a streetfighters gathering last month, i'd rather do Jindy for 10 yrs in a row, at least there are some good roads from every direction.
Dont mind traveling!nice areas in Northern NSW / Southern Qld the time of year is my biggest problem, how about somewhere between Grafton and Warrick in Sept

I agree with the earlier post that most will go no matter where it is within reason.
And it is true that a lot don't even get online so...
