Hey I like that idea.

Somewhere on the coast would be great.

Even lower down the coast would be great too to accommodate the Vic guys (i.e. Bateman's Bay, Merimbula, Eden, etc). Coffs Harbour would make a good spot too.

The VIC guys have done a great job of getting the group together a few times but the club is not all about the Vic guys is it?
We have already heard from some of the QLDers to say that they would come.
We are all members of the same club. I'm sure just as many Vic riders will travel north as did Qld riders who travel south.

I don't see the point of your thread Rod.

yes Nsw has got the numbers to fill as it realy does not afect wich way they go other than shit weather at Jindy
so abusa you think 24 members between Qld & Vic would be ok  come on you have 55 regestered members up there and 7 have gave a opinion lets give it some more time and go with Astros poll as its a good set up
And i have not seen any hands to help organise a Nsw meet can some of the places Handle numbers up to 100 Through summer if moved Back to December
one thing with jindy there is no problem with the numbers Through summer but i personly dont see the point in going to a place and just sit there because its raining.

How many were there this year and how many were regular posters from each State? Expressions of interests were asked for last time and only a handful of the usual suspects replied. Most people will be fine with where ever it is decided and will plan accordingly if they can.

I said last year that the Annual Event should alternate either side of Sydney to allow members from each State a chance to come along at least every second year.

Most Queenslanders would ride to Port Macquarie without too much hesitation. when time got closer more would be able to commit.

Port maybe too far for the Victorians, over 1200klms from Melbourne, maybe Dubbo or similar would be better, roughly 800klms for the Vics and Qlders.
Not sure of the riding out that way though.

I personally think max hit the spot in the other thread - we kinda get free rein at Jindy... I like that!

I still like Jindy for a number of reasons:
1. We are all together but can bunk with whomsoever we like,
2. If it rains, we can still get on the piss and have a good time without having to ride out somewhere in the rain.
3. Still no plod to annoy usPolice
The whole thing doesn't cost us an arm and a leg and we get pretty reasonable service.

Though
4 I think it will always rain

and

5 we need a venue change-it's getting a bit boring going tot he same place.

My 2 cents

Yes jindy is good , but its a big ask for us QLDers to get down for it
& some guys are lucky to even ride once a week up here for what ever reason . So there put off by the distance ( pussy's )
So dont count on a big turn out from up here if its Jindy again
Even if its closer 15 to 20 maybe at a push.
The Port area is good but then there will be guys from Vic that wont make the trip.
The guys who live around the Port etc may want to get away for the weekend not just do there local ride.
Maybe the idea of Dubbo isnt to bad at all  . Its in about the middle for everyone , Only a days ride .
BUT what are the surrounding roads like to ride ?

What ever happens I'll make it if  can

The roads around Dubbo are generally straight and flat.
However they have the fantastic zoo.
The roads around Mudgee however are spot on for the busa and Mudgee is not too far away from Dubbo.
Lots of accomm in both places.
There are resorts / motels in all the major towns on the North Coast that could handle the group.
Not likely to get a whole resort to ourselves in summer though unless booked early.
Port Macquarie has a waterfront park with cabins, tent sites etc straight across the road from both the beach and the main shopping centre.
I'm up for any location as long as I can get off work.
