Just need to rant for a second...

Guys who rode back with me from Jindy will know that at 1 point, the zip on my gear sack split and flew open... and we stopped, and I checked, and determined the only thing which was missing was my map photocopies...

I was wrong...

Last night, I was heading out, and being the first evening on the bike since Jindy, thought I better change the tinted visor for my clear one... the clear one which is missing, and hasn't been seen since I packed on Sunday morning...

youd be a hell of alot more upset if it was the bag with the cash. so maybe 'rejoice' it was only the spare visor? look on the bright side of life.

I've got some Arai clear visors if you want one? Cannot remember what type of helmet you have.
If interested, ring or email...

Thanks for the offer - Shoei

Needed it again yesterday and rushed out to buy a shiny new one....

TOOOO shiny - I can see my own reflection on the inside - there's a horrifying sight nobody should have to face....

Mate, you are lucky if that's all you lost. Spare a thought for my mate who did an overnighter last week and was riding back along the Princes H/Way from Bairnsdale and had his bag and sleeping bag strapped to the Ventura rack and suddenly the sleeping bag manages to come unstuck and wraps around his rear wheel and chain at 110kph. Result...broken shoulder, broken foot, broken hand. Bike totalled and it was a loaner and not his. Then again it was only a Triumph. Jokes aside, he is lucky to still be here. Probably a lesson to be learned is to check you gear every time you take off.

Fate it was - you must of needed a new unscratched one!

Once, I had a sleeping bag fly out whilst riding about 220, with my brother behind me!
The tightly packed bag somehow must of split during the day due ockey straps chafeing ... but wind caught an edge and my bro said it look like a parachute opened up from behind me!!!! .... At that speed , he swerved onto other side of road, and missed it - being on Nullabor was no worries!
