Note regarding signatures
#1
Please keep photos in signatures to 100 pixels high (or smaller) and refrain from using animated gifs.  Overall signatures should be kept relatively compact.  Breachers of these guidelines may be asked to modify their signature, or may have their signature modified for them by an administrator.

I would like to comply but can't get an image into my signature.
How do we get it into the box supplied?

Was the 100x100 chosen to stop banners or is it a bandwidth thing?
Are images 100 high ok with photos being 4x3 aspect?

100 high is fine on standard aspect, so it doesn't fill the screen when people scroll.

Also, bandwidth, so we will be Police-ing the file sizes of animated gifs (heads-up to FBR Pi_tongue)

max file sizes as follows Abusa:
uploading pics: jpg size max 500kb suggested 100-200kb max largest dimention 620px, if hotlinking then you may not be able to do much so it will be scaled down to fit page.
Also if u upload direct from your desktop the pic will be scaled down to a thumbnail for layout purposes. Click the thumbnail to see large pic.

Avatars are max 100px x 100px and max size of 270kb

Hope this helps, we'll chuck this in th FAQ also...

Pls wherever possible try to abide by the guidelines.

Is it 100px X 100px again and not just a 100px high?

What about a 620px X 100px sig as long as it meets the file size requirements?

Is there going to be a Vendors Alley or something similar? Any Paid Advertising, or is it going to be the same as it has always been?

Probably shouldnt have raised this here!

DJ is talking about photos in general - sigs were just getting too big.

Stick to one photo, 100 pix high, or a small animated gif. File size of the animated gif to be "reasonable" and reasonable is not defined, but under 250 k is reasonable.
