G'day Cahns & Cahnettes,

Not much activity on the board lately.......Let's have some banter guys.
An in-house bunfight seems to be the only way to get responses around here.

Ohzone,
Have you done the BTL mod????

Richard,
It was nice to meet you while you were visiting Perth. Next time you come over leave the 1/2 strength victorian cat's piss at home and bring a REAL BEER !!

Col,
What's up your frock on the technical discussion board?

Busababy,
What happened in regard to the "4th gear mingers"?? did you have to make a donation to charity??

Ahhhhhhh, that feels better.......flame away !!

I have been head down tail up lately,
I haven`t had much chance to even ride Suzy far less mod the clutch
and still trying to decide which way to go.
I really don`t like the Idea of permanent changes .
Col what is your point of view on
Carpenter ring,
welding or
Brock Mod????

hi there jeff you ol stirrer!

we are all stunned and saddened by the events unfolding right now in the USA, so forgive the sombre mood,,

i suppose the low level of board activity reflects the cold winter mood which slows down most of us 'recreational' riders,,

the weather pattern of late has been pleasant all week and rain on the weekends, enough to depress any busa owner,,

however, the time has not been wasted my black k1 busa is looking as sharp as nails and ready at the first weather opportunity to lay some 'mingers' (as you call em - love it), but not in 4th gear as i'm still awaiting that elusive whathisname to show me how - so obviously i haven't "had" to make a donation to charity,,

nevertheless, i do support a few charities voluntarily and one of my favourites is The Lighthouse Foundation,,

this charity organisation helps homeless youth in our society and is committed to the prevention of youth suicide - which is one of my grave concerns,,

you may not be aware but youth homelessness and in particular, youth suicide is an enormous problem amongst in our society today,,

if you or any other board member wishes to learn more about this wonderful charity organisation please visit

www.lighthousefoundation.org.au

and if you wish to make a donation (please), it will be very much appreciated,,

cheers
les

Half strength cat-piss? Firstly, that was Perth half-strength cat-piss of which I have never heard of in Vic. Secondly, if you want half strength, order a coffee in Perth - double strength begins to resemble a normal coffee in the rest of the world

Seriously, though, it will be a while before we are that way. Was going to be Christmas, but have shelved that one. Maybe you can stay awake for the race this time

No.......... not three holes in the ground????

There is some people out there.

Ohzone, good to hear from you. You better get that clutch sorted mate, the seasons almost here. Just weld the sucker.........that'll do eh? I don't know much about carpenter's rings.... but I'm sure there are some sites on the net that could help you "out"

Busababy,
The crap weather you should be used to living in Mexico.
All the more reason to get some activity on the board if you can't ride. When you are riding your K1 Bus, don't you get depressed looking at that speedo calibrated to an enormous 280KPH??? I'd have the sucker off the dial every time I rode it. Even my old 96 GSXR750 WT's speedo went to 300KPH (no chance of achieving it though) So you will have to fit some new dials for credibility eh?

On a more serious note you surprised me with your response in regard to charity. It is good to see that you participate........keep up the good work. My favorite is the Starlight Foundation, As you are probably aware this charity endeavors to give terminally ill kids a chance to fulfill a dream.

Richard...Richard..Richard,
That definitely WAS Victorian.... Carlton Mid I believe.
I couldn't give away what you left behind!!..............
Oh I tell a lie, .........now I remember, a KIWI took it home with him.
As for the coffee.......ya gotsta know where ya gotta go don't cha???
Stay awake??? Man I was comatose not sleeping !!!!
Any way it was fun (what I remember) but you can put that down to the fact I'm just an Old Cahn eh???

Still no reply from the Grumpy Mechanic eh???

I'm still around, still reading, but flat out with work.

Someone in Canberra saw what they think was a woman on a blue/silver bus doing 300 plus in a full wheelie coming back from Yass.

Word went around Canberra like lightning that it was me (being the only girl in Canb) but it wasn't.

I am DEVESTATED it wasn't, but that is WAY out of my league. It has been suggested I smile sweetly and tell people it was me.

Hell of a trick.

I was told this by a 20 year old MANIAC that I will not ride with. For him to be impressed is something.

As to the likelihood of this happening, I have no idea.

Heidi,
Don't take things too close to heart, we can all exagerate from time to time.

You believe a 20 year old??? Did he have radar verification? I would suggest that his estimation of speed is somewhat off kilter. THINK ABOUT IT.......
A 300KPH WHEELIE........like I said....yeah sure
"that don't impress me much da, da, da, ron ron" etc....

I was over in Canberra last week and I will be over in November, maybe we can catch up for a drink / coffee / meal at Manuka. I will let you know exact dates when my itinery is complete. I usually stay at Rydges Capitol Hill on Canberra Avenue. Are you far from the City?

Take it easy

Did you not see the BIKE??

Bad you! I'll email you, but all you have to do is go to the desk and ask for me, people tend to know who I am.

Hey Cahn

I was sound alseep in bed last night when I was suddenly struck by a thought.

Were you one of the suits out on the front steps at 5pm last Friday? Did you have a bloke with you called Scott Donikin? Scott was here on a reccy and I thought maybe you were one of them. I was the tall one with red curly hair and a helmet talking to Scott and Tom Ruthven.
