Sydney Weather!!!!!!!
#1
Fellow Busaphiles,
After yesterday's weather, why would you live anywhere else?? (that should get a reply...Richard...)
Brilliant day for a ride. Got on the Bus with the wife on back around 08:00 and headed from Warragamba to Windsor. Had coffee and breakfast and talked to the Macaw. If you like birds, check this thing out, it's awesome.
Headed from Windsor to Wiseman's Ferry. I was going to go straight across but the boss suggested a stop at the pub. She was right again. Ended up staying for about three hours with a couple of light beers in the sun listening to the band. By band, I mean 1 guy with a guitar. Left it too late to head across and down the old Pac' like originally planned and instead headed back towards Windsor. Here was the only problem of the whole bloody day. After staying reasonably close to the speed limit all day, the one time I kicked it in the hoolies to pass two 4wd's towing boats, A HP decided to come around the next curve right on cue. Bugger flashed the lights and I started to pull over but he kept going so all's well except for the non scotchguarded seat on the Bus'. Ended up back in Windsor in the park next to the pub with another guy and his guitar on the back of the old truck. If you've been there you'll know it.
Back home around 7pm.
Great way to spend mothers day, oh yeah, called mum around 8:30 that night, gotta work on those priorities..not...
Cheers

So Sydney does get some nice weather occassionally? There you go....

Sounds like you had fun. Maybe you could have got your priorities right by ditching the wife and taking the mum...

Hey Frosty, Fenda was out doing the '4 dams' run - Warragamba was one of them i believe ...

That is a nice run ...

Bar Coluzzi is on Darlinghurst Road - Kings Cross. It's a little Italian place that makes the BEST coffee.

As you head up William Street towards the Cross turn right at the Coke sign and it's half a block down on the left hand side.

Saturday mornings Fenda & / or I usually launch a ride somewhere at about 9am ... look for the Busas! :)

Thanks Fox,
I'm tied up for the next couple of weekends but after that I'll slide on down to the coffee shop and maybe meet you there. You'll have to come out this way one weekend, from Warra' down to Picton for lunch at the George 1V is a reasonable trip with a decent road (good bends but rough in places)and not too many blue flashers.
Cheers

sounds good to me Guys I've been checking out the list of members in Sydney and related areas and I was thinking of posting to see if we could get a good roll up for a ride day I don't want to turn it into a marathon effort of mountains of work and organization because they seem to fall apart but it would be good to see what members are still reading and participating in the club . About the on any Saturday ride from the Cross I would like to go with you guys I was ready to reply for this Saturday and just got a call to work this Saturday so it will have to be some other weekend . Any suggestions where and when would be great even some e-mail addy's from you guys would be good for a quicker response

G'day Keith,
Sounds good mate, should be simple to arrange. I've never been to the coffee bar that Fox mentions but his directions were easy enough so maybe either of the next couple of Saturdays should be ok. From there either down to Nasho' or whereever. Email is brock5@ozemail.com.au
Drop a line, leave a mobile and we'll work something out. Fox and Fenda, any ideas?
Cheers.
Steve...
