Recall
#1
Hey there

I got my recall done three weeks ago (ish). The cam chain has since developed an ALMIGHTY rattle. I'm taking it back tomorrow for them to have a look, but has anyone else noticed that their chain is A LOT noiser since having the recall done?

i think mine is quieter now heidi!
i know this may sound silly (forgive me) but have you checked the oil level mine was the second bike done by my dealer and they had a seal around the spark plug shift when re fitting head so it was breathing oil and was rattling they fixed it no more rattle or at least back the the rattle im used to :-)

Any update on your rattles? What was the problem?

Mine has done a few hundred since the recall but no sus noises so far ....isn't it a bitch riding and sort of half listening for the worst to happen ...I'll get over it I suppose .. at least until the next recall...

Took it back yesterday and they were more than helpful at Action. Had a listen, all stood about with hands in pockets thinking for a minute, adjusted the idle speed, brand new.

f***kers!

I KNEW the damn idle speed was too low, but someone who insists they know more than me kept telling me to keep it down (increases engine life or some such rubbish). Last time I listen to HIM!

Now it is fine, but I am mortified.
