I had an accident with elderlys once,100kms/h straight into their car.He pulled out through a stop sign right in front of me (caulder hwy) so i wasn't speeding. The cop tells me in hospital the man was a local,85y.o.partially blind, partially deaf ,oh and he saw 3 people on the bike at the time of the accident.Yeah rite....Any way the cop says"We were looking for an excuse to take his licence from him".What my life is an excuse now.:"> Dont get me wrong i'm not against elderly drivers, but maybe there should be some sort of capability test for them.
Fox - 2 wheeled wheel-chair?
don't laugh... if u spend enough time in a chair you'll get used to it on two wheels, to the point where u never need put the front down
Oh, two front wheels, I was more picturing two side wheels in the air...
Or maybe four wheels in a line, like a roller blade
Glad that you didn't need to stay used to that chair, bigshow!
Yeah that's the stuff I'm talking about Rod - scary as hell!!
And yes Richard .. I was picturing me wheelstanding the chair
This is a horrible event, a few guys out having a ride and Wham they're down and out. Whether they were up it or not it does'nt make any difference to them, they've moved on. The 'intersection' looks like an accident waiting to happen tho', I wonder whether it was signposted- 'concealed driveway' etc. The sad part is we are all vulnerable whether we're on a bike or in bus, hit something hard enough and it's going to hurt.
My first postmortem was on a guy who had been killed whilst riding home from work, he was not in the wrong but he was beyond caring. Lets take care out there, it's a place for enjoyment but it can be dangerous as well, fines etc may be insignificant to what can happen.
PS I absolutely LOVE my 'busa and it goes like hell!
