Richard,
There is an up side to all this. Keep the old 1999 version and it may become collectable in years to come. No doubt the dutch dude drives a Volvo.... Frost'

No one ever said Big brother or Peter Reith for that matter rode a bike. Frosty, this was partially why I replaced my totalled bronze Busa with the last bronze one I could find. Even when I update (to what?) I will keep the Busa with the Z1 which decorates most corners of my shed. The quality and realistic longevity of the Busa motor makes this sort of practical although abviously Miss May Weegen would prefer I spent my money on hi octane nappies.

You're right, James. 6 months after buying the Busa, I wondered where one could go - nowhere, except to another Busa. But like you said, the Busa has had all round excellent predictions on motor longevity, and although mine does not sit in the garage all week, there are many who have many more ks than I do, and will be a fore-warning if there is a need to bail to a newer model.

I've been led to believe that top end power delivery in 1st gear is also effected with the modifications to the new K1 models, and one thing that's for sure; the speedo on them only goes up to 280 kph! Glad I've just managed to secure one of the last available Y models - can't wait til I get it!
