well well well MichelleC Vegemite is what all good aussie blokes are made of it is the most sensational food ever created by man even if you yanks call it axel greese it has a multi purpose here in Aus you guys are just jealous you didnt invent it thats all . Do yaself a favour find a decent shop over there and order some in it will make your knees go weak and your body shake there will be goose bumps all over you and you will feel like you are in heaven (just like most women feel when they meet an aussie male) :P

It's called Marmite in the UK. Some might have you believe it's different stuff, but they're as different as Pepsi and Coke.

Mothers throw it down their kid's throats until they give in and get a taste for it, because the ad men have told parents it's a good source of B vitamins. Like you can't get B vitamins from something that taste nice. Yuck! Awful stuff. (That said they're are three big jars of it in my cupboard, at various stages of being eaten...).

Oh YUMMY! Yeast extract, uh?! I think I'll go lick the bottom of my shoes instead...not quite sure from the three responses, but is it generally liked or disliked? And who thought to make something like that? Ughhhhh...I'm not really in the mood for lunch now...

I'd have to agree with you on one thing, Bill...most women do have a "thing" for you Aussie men...I admire a few famous Aussies, and one "not really an Aussie, but Americans think he is"...that would be Mel Gibson (damn...where's the "I'm drooling" emoticon?! Guess this will do )

Hi Chelle. If you like things salty, you'll like vegemite. Most people put it on toast but I also put it into my casseroles and sauces for a bit of extra "zing" (just don't use too much!)

And as for Mr Gibson...well...back in my younger days, I got to spend a few days with him as his close personal protection (bodyguard/bouncer) The guy is very funny, swears like a wharfie, smokes like a chimney and is very down to earth ... definitely drool material! Only prob was that he is short!!(I have a fear of heights) After a few gins and a couple of arm wrestles though, I was in lurve He thought it was so cool that he had a "chick" bodyguard, whereas most people just thought I was one of his groupies

Ahh, yes, Aussie men; good fun, good looking, good housekeepers... maybe you and you're hubby will fit in down here - when you get used to eating Vegemite!
Jules - always smiling, it keeps everyone guessing!

Welcome Jules - good to see another gal here!

I'm jealous of your Mel experience...I'd melt if I ever met him... I knew he was sort of short, but I could look past little things like that!

As for vegemite...I'd have to pay you Aussies a visit to see what the hell it is! I've got to say, it doesn't sound very appetizing at the moment...

Think all this drivel annoys the Aussie guys on the board? I suspect I'm missing a lot of the inside joking, and it's probably aimed at me!

Here are the ones I made for my bike as well as a pic of the bike. I also offer HID and LED tail lights for the busa's!..
