Beating speed cameras...
#1
Just going through some old Top Gear footage. Did anyone see the one where they tested the theory that if a car is going fast enough it will be gone by the time the second flash goes off, so there would no varifying second picture needed to send out a ticket.

Honda Civic and a Mercedes something didn't do it, but then they shot a TVR Tuscany pass the camera at 170mph (I'm guessing 270kph) and the camera didn't even take the first picture - just failed to go off completely.

Well, I figure there's a stack of bikes that are immune to speed cameras then, eh?

Bruce McPherson plays a guy called Go Down. Doesn't seem to be a major charactered - takes some finding on the cast list....AND they ride Kawasakis.

At one of the Superbike races years ago the character who played the boss-dog of the gravediggers was handing out signatures and original uncut versions of the whole film. I have it on tape, it's excellent. When I lived in Sydney in 1979-1981 a mob of blokes used to go to the Drive-In to see the film pretty regulary. Then they stopped motorcycles getting in. The film ran for yonks, until they stopped letting motorcycles in. Didn't last long after that. Ray is old enough to remember those days.

All those Z1s, Crosby did a ride scene where he pranged. Awesome film. I should bring it to Jindy!

The old Z1....

There's one still getting around or lying in a wreckers somewhere with my name on it

Literally.....I had my name engraved on the frame downtube under the tank

Why ? because I thought at the time that the thing was so fast I'd never need another bike
