Genuine Suzuki parts --rip off
#1
The other week I was left with having to visit the local Suzuki dealer for an oil filter -- just on $29 it was and much to my surprise ..made in China. Yesterday whilst in at MCA in town I bought 2 of them made by HiFlow--made in Thailand for just under $15 each..... whats going on

and for the opposition

and where is it made

yep... OEM stuff is a rip off..

Suzuki wanted $480 set of busa stickers that are the side fairings.. as you can imagine, i politely said i'll think about.. then when to a sign shop and got them mirror image for $120 set...

I just bought two steering dampner dust seals; basically two plastic donuts the size of a 1 cent coin.

$13

I use to use the $15 ones but noticed that the recommended oil change was around 2,800km instaed of the 4,000km on the OEM (which I have only ever bought once).

Now I use a metal re-usable race item. Some say does not filter as well, but I haven't noticed any difference on oil changes - about $189. Done 24 or so oil changes already, so it's paid for itself. May be a problem for real performance boys - drags or racers, but us normal mere mortals? Good item.

Not sure anyone else on here uses them.

(Also when I did pay for oil changes, Action used to charge me $15 for the OEM filter used by the mechanic, but $25 for the same item, if I bought it from the shop)
