I just paid 13.5k for a 2004, club members bike with 24k on it very well looked after.Your mods will yield you next to nothing extra,12k is more realistic methinks.Just think if you had become a member earlier in your ownership your network of friends build trust in who you are and what your selling.Thats why i bought the bike i did over supposedly better offers from strangers.Popping up on the forum when its time to sell isn,t any better than putting it on ebay or the trading post.Like rev said you,ve wasted a good opportunity.I hope it sells but don,t think forum members believe their worth more than the average joe.Like they say their,s a sucker born every minute you,ll find them on ebay and the trading post ,not here. I hope thats not too harsh but it,s the truth. cheers.

And to add to what Glen said, we all know that the red ones are the slow ones.
Cheers.

I think your wrong here spam, most members who are selling their busas dont usally sell them to other members. Why?Because most members already have busas.I have known a few members who have advertised their steeds in here with no luck.I suggest you try ebay, the trading post or bikesales on the net is a goodie, good luck with it.
Phuck its the Phantom.......
There's the V-4 thing - there's just something about it that inline 4s
don't have, and V-twins have too much of.

On the other hand I tell people to come to our site and look

for a bike when they ask me about buying a good used Busa.

I had a couple of guys at the last mine site I was at that

were looking for bike's and I always told them that they

should shop here before going to the bike shops.

Food for thought.............Regards Richard

Fair point rocket,i think more accurately it is those friends of busa owners like myself or members without busas who can use the forum as a place to purchase with some degree of confidence. Now next time your up come for a ride on kawasukis bike and see how much better they can be.Like you said though bikes are like tools ,one for every job.Unfortunately some have to live with 1 tool and a shifter can,t do everything

Im sure kawas bike is a big improvement on the std busa, but as i have said in these treads before, chuck enuff money into most bikes and you should improve them.
If you want a busa to handle like a sportsbike, why not go out and purchase a sportsbike????Much cheaper option.

Where's the challenge in that Rocket

I'd rather wrestle a busa around the Reefton matey, that way when I get my arse handed to me I just say " but I'm on a two wheeled logging truck mate "

Exactly rev. Some people buy a silk purse and then get bored. Some buys a sows ear and slowly work on it until its a really nice pig.It prolongs the enthusiasm whist still owning the same bike.Buying a new sportsbike each time your bored,Wheres the fun in that? You have only ever got what anyone else can buy, where's the individuality. If i had a new k6 1000 I,d probably want to put a 1300 in it just to be different.
