I sent of a couple of questions to him about the damage, and he was pretty quick to get back to me.
I said it was obvious that it had been pranged, as that damage hasn't happened in a crate, I also asked why the frame was painted.
He sent back within 20 minutes that the bike was scratched like that by the transport company as it fell over in the van.
He reckons it will buff out , he said there were no other marks on it anywere else too, and no frame damage.
I am guessing someone has had a low speed of on it but, you dont get scrap marks like that from the back of a van.
It would be worth calling Suzuki and checking the history with the VIN no.
I did. PM me if you are interested in details...
"good times spent with friends, and nothing else matters..."
PLEASE PM me if you are bidding. You NEED to know.
If it had been sliding around in the back of a van/truck the scratches would be running in all directions, not just one. I know- I'm a courier! The courier's motto: "All care taken - no responsibility accepted." In other words, if you send it, wrap it up! At least he included pics of the damage unlike some mugs on ebay. I'd be a bit concerned about the frame, too. Paint can hide bog really well if done properly. I put 6kg of bog into the side of a Corolla years ago & sold it for $1100 when I'd only paid $1000 for it the year before! Wazza.
I've stared death in the face....he turned and walked away.
Pan just post the info mate I will copy it and send it to the people bidding if it is all bad Cheers Bill

"and the award for the most gayest paint goes to....."
well , we all know who won it....
Why hide any info from the members?
If there is something bad about this bike, we all have a right to know before someone ends up with a lemon or worse.
Rgds BUSGO
a cheap price can end up being an expensive buy.. beware. !!
and yeah, dunno why people hold back info.. post it up
Reasons for not posting????
Not posting out of respect for the seller.
Suzuki HAVE given me wrong info before (hence my bike is being repaired), so I am reluctant to mislead based on their data.
I've clearly explained how to obtain info for those interested. I still think to post it could be defamatory, may be unfair, and may prevent someone from a good buy. The info I have obtained is "unjustified allegations by a third party" (ie: I have no proof), so I won't post them.
If you want them I can PM them, then you are welcome to post them as "info from pan, from suzuki, from.... bla bla bla, BUT no proof included". THe info I have is ONLY a caveat.
"still waiting for my bike"
Fair enough Pan.
I suppose if you're gonna buy a bike off E-bay
"you get what you settle for"
yeah same here, I see where your coming from now..
regards
Grant.
yeh but dont most of us play with ebay scammers when they are trying to sell a bike that doesnt exist I know I do so what is the difference here we only play with the scammers so they dont rip anyone off well if this bike is a pile of shit or a stat write off or even stolen the prospective buyers should be warned
But each to their own I just hate to see some poor bugger that really wants a Busa buy something that is gonna make a grown person cry But then again that is me and I am unique Cheers Bill

If I couldnt view the bike, there is no way I would be buying it regardless of it being on Ebay or in the Classifieds.
I take all Sellers comments with a grain of salt and do every check available to me. If I had seen the bike first hand, I would make an honest appraisal for those interested.
If I had information that I couldnt verify, like Pan I wouldnt post it as it would be hurting both a potential buyer and the seller.
If I saw something obviously suspicious or if the seller sounded dishonest, I would alert everyone just like Bill.

must be a Queensland way of thinking hey Shayne Cheers Bill

Ive bought 3 bikes on ebay and never had any probs.

Has there never been anyone who has been ripped off from a dealer???????
Phuck its the Phantom.......
There's the V-4 thing - there's just something about it that inline 4s
don't have, and V-twins have too much of.
