I'm happy with the site like it is.... it would annoy me if we moved and lost all the good info or if we had problems with the other one..
The problems we have with this ezboards I can live with... well have learned to live with....

Like I said tho - I am sure easy board was give us a dump to use.
As for it being depended on a person - well the way these newer forums would work - it would mean anyone can do the admin stuff ;)
I can only speak for myself - but being in IT for work - I am not going anywhere & I dont want any other bike - have been around for ages now so I am not going anywhere either.
I can see the worry of only a few people knowing how it all hangs together - but really - its not that much of an issue as I would provide setup documentation as well - its easy enough to do even if it sounds hard. "Busa riders always count in three's.... 100, 200, 300"

Well it IS broke as far as I'm concerned.
Dud threads, hard to upload pics, no search, email notification of new replies does not work properly, ads...I can go on.
As far as easy to admin.
It would be exactly the same admin as now as we do with Ezboard.
It's like saying well the bus has shit brakes but near enough is good enough...Hang on! That's true.
It's just that there are sooooooooooooo many better Boards out there that would lift the style and effeciency of this Board to a new level with lots more options that would make it more interesting.
Isn't that the whole idea...grow???
Hang on...we ride busa's maybe we DON'T like change.

no - only set users who are classed as admins can do that - but then there are different level admins as well ;)

with sometihng like VBulletin you have admin and moderator logins who can manage peoples accounts, delete posts.. lock posts when they get out of control etc..
so not just any joe blogs can do it, only those with rights.
one of the benefits I see with something that the busa club owns is that they can start to place adds on the site.. not that we all want a million adds, but busa related for people like mr bling etc.. You could also encourage people like peter stevens (ok, i know i shouldnt use that name) or others. You dont need to charge them a whole heap for adds, just use it to recover any hosting and forum costs plus encourage them to sponsor things like Jindy.

How about we carefully plan any change of board location as carefully as Spewsuki are planning the new "busa"
That way in a few years time, we could make the quantum leap forward in bored technology to coincide with the release date and the attendent mass purchase of the massively improved new replacement busa.
