you should go VB bulletin or PhP nuke forums ;)
Host it your selfs & have full control as well.

Both options use an SQL back end as well I think - aka easy back up & restore ;) "Busa riders always count in three's.... 100, 200, 300"

How much would the best one cost per year?

Since I have a few mates that actually run them - plus I can offer to help server wise, hosting & DR in case anything happens - DB tuning would be easy as well....

so I'll contact a few & get some ball park's "Busa riders always count in three's.... 100, 200, 300"

This Yuku is not finished or reliable.
There are plenty out there and I have about 15 different servers we can use for free if needed. Cheers,
Pete

there ya go - dj can host - techheads can set it up with him and have a DR plan as well

I'll have prices tomorrow ;)

oh btw - www.zgeek.com & www.overclockers.com.au
both use vBulletin Version 3.0.x

I know both site owners personally as well ;) very easy to work with & learn - from a user point of view - it really does rock - lots of support out there for Vbulletin as well;) (I thought it was VB bulletin)

could use mysql for the db (Freeeeeee!!) "Busa riders always count in three's.... 100, 200, 300"

only I dont think you can migrate 6yrs of messages over. and very important is to have a neutral server as in one mans server may do fine for some yrs, but then say he buys another bike moves or whatever and his server is no longer current etc. etc. we have to insure 10 yrs ahead for future followers etc. ideas are still welcomed.
