Look... all due credit to Mr. Kawasaki. Good job and well done.

But honestly... it looks like they made it up with left overs from the parts bin - and I'm not sure everything in that bin was intended for a motorcycle in the first place ! That side-on view is a shocker.

Looks like a freakin' praying mantis on steroids at the front.

Thru the waist they've got 5 different surfaces and textures ranging from ultra-smooth flowing lines with a glossy finish, then that cheapo dull Austin A90 looking extruded plastic grille (what were they smoking!), then a little glossy sharks fin (with a bit of black frame bunged in for good measure at this level) followed by matt. Each piece looks like it was designed by a different design team working in different counties speaking a different language and reading the design specs that must have been in bloody swahili ! But it has got that cool Antonio Banderras "Z" mark of Zorro thru it.

Then theres the Mechanno Set subframe, a swing arm that looks like its designed for a Panzer tank and then somebody must have noticed there was no chrome... so they bunged some on ... discreetly placed so your boots cover them while riding.

Nice zorst tho !

Fark... and some people reckon the busa is a ugly as a sack full of bowling balls ! At least we'll lose the "butt ugly, but fast" tag now.

Now... before the starts a'poppin... yes... I'm biased. Yes, I know I'm biased. BUT yes... I do acknowledge that the ZX14 is a damn fine piece of machinery and I'm sure it has a beautiful nature and a lovely disposition (ie : pug ugly but has other fine qualities)

Well done Mr. Kawasaki. I hope one day soon it trounces me on the road... passes me in a blur of speed.... outcorners me and zooms off into the distance pulling like a train on av-gas, fair screaming its head off and almost sucking me and my humble busa off the road in its wake before screaming off out of sight leaving nothing but tyre dust and vacant road ahead of me....

Coz the faster that ugly fucker is out of view.... the better. The older I get, the better I was. Regards.... Rob

Mapped with no butterflys with the airbox mod and filter meshs removed and a full system these things are making low 190 sae hp with 114ft/lbs.Their bottom end is better than a busa but because they are taller and gruntier they constantly loft the front.I,d rather keep both on the ground and wheelspin.I think they could be a nice bling thing with whats already available.I just think the busa is soo different to everthing else its becoming iconic.Dynoverks mapped a zx14 with a ti force(non big bore can= less 5hp) with stock airbox, filter with butterflys at 183 sae hp.I will be testing the stock ti force can v big bore can to see what it does for the busa.
