Yay for Charlie Boorman, long way round was the best thing he ever did for his career imho.

Its not too late to start watching if you missed the 1st episode.I think there is 7 episodes in total and last night was all about the preperation of bikes and of Charlie.
Man he was doing it hard and that was just practising for the event. Ended up with a broken collerbone.
So as i said they havent started the event yet,but yeah i reckon it would be a goodie for the DVD collection.

We've talked about this before, I know, but my wife gave me the collector's edition of "The World's Fastest Indian" for my birthday last week.
It is a great addition to the DVD collection as well.
The special edition has the doco "Praise to the gods of speed" as well as lots of other special features to go with the movie.
A top quality collector pack.

I'll be keeping my eye out for the Dakar disc as well.

Good spot Rod. I started watching last week as well. The Long Way Round video is what got me interested in that crap Honda you ride. I'm definitely want to get off-road capability soon but I'm thinking the Yamaha Tenere is a better bike than the Transalp. I don't want to spend more than 5 grand. Keeping a Duke costs money, and if I'm to get her up to 160hp I'm going to need the rest of the dollars for mods. 1098s better watch out! -385-

A tenere,blaaaaaaah,not a patch on the transalp.
2 cylinders are much smoother and more managable than one big pot,but you'll learn that one day.
Unless you can get your mitts on the xtz750 super tenere, now theres a piece of kit,but they are like hens teeth.
They had the early version of the TRX parallel twin donk, but in 750 size, but if you want the ultimate,go get the honda african twin built by HRC,not easy to get either as they werent imported here.If your a suzuki nut,get a DRZ750,but again hard to get and its a fuggin big single.
