1200KLM LOOP
#1
Just got home from a 1,200k loop.
Newcastle to Coffs - Armidale - Walcha - Gloucester - Newcastle.

What a great 24hours.
We left Newcastle at 4pm at 38 degrees c. on Friday arvo and arrived in Coffs at 9pm, hopefully evading all the fixed speed cameras along the way.
The weather cooled to a really nice 20 deg by about 5:30pm and it was a fantastic twilight ride up the coast.
We hit the Waterfall Way at about 8:30am this morn and had a blinder of a ride up to Armidale with very little traffic.
The new surface between Bellingen and Dorrigo is terrific hotmix with not a bump to be seen.
We met up with some BRISVEGAS friends at Coffs last night and rode with them to Walcha before we took off down Thunderbolt's Way to get home mid afternoon.
The roadworks on the Buckett's Way are almost complete as well and the surface is 100% over what it was 3 years ago.
Nearly all the 1km strips of new work have finally joined to make one good ride.
Our friends from Brissy did the loop from Walcha down to Ginger's Creek and back. They met up with another busa club member named Peter from Sydney on a Red / Gray at Gingers and rode back to Walcha with him.
They have an extra day and are stopping in Bendemeer tonight before heading home.
Life is Good.

Thanks for the heads up mate. Hope you had fun.
Did the Oxley, Dorrigo loop the weekend before with Cowboy. The over nite stop was at the Longflat rally. Never seen so many bikes at the pub before!

Sorry I didn't call you Turtle.
We had a flying visit through Armidale and were on a tight schedule.
Are you gonna do the Nymboida weekend next March?
